That's why Easop has partnered with Remote, one of the leading providers of global employment solutions, to offer a seamless integration that streamlines equity management for businesses with international teams.

In this article, we'll take a closer look at our brand new integration, how it works, and what you need to do to set it up.

What is Remote?

Remote is a global employment solutions provider that helps businesses hire and manage talent from anywhere in the world. From payroll and compliance to benefits and HR, Remote takes care of the administrative burden of international hiring, so businesses can focus on growing their teams and achieving their goals.

With Remote, businesses can easily hire and pay team members in over 170 countries, without worrying about local laws, complex tax systems, or managing international payroll. This allows businesses to expand their operations globally, tap into new talent pools, and build diverse, high-performing teams.

How it works

The integration automates the regulatory and tax complexities that come with granting equity to team members in different countries. This allows businesses to grant equity faster, more efficiently, and more cost-effectively, while ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations.

Here's how the integration works:

  1. Connect Easop with your Remote account: The first step is to establish a connection between Easop and Remote. This can be done through the Settings section of your Easop account.
  2. Import new grantees from Remote: Once the connection is established, you can begin importing new grantees from Remote. This can be done through the Grantees section of your Easop account.
  3. Auto-fill grantees’ information at creation: When adding a new grantee in Easop, the integration will automatically populate the grantee’s personal details such as name, email address, contract start date, country of residence, and work relationship. This saves time and effort, as you don’t have to manually enter this information.
  4. Monitor and manage equity grants: With the integration in place, you can easily monitor and manage equity grants for your international hires. This includes tracking vesting schedules, issuing equity documents, and managing tax compliance.

We want to remind you that EoRs like Remote need to comply with wage tax reporting obligations (generally in relation to the exercise of the stock options), and they can’t do it if you don’t inform them, so make sure liaise with them early on!

We’re working hard to make this as smooth as possible but in the meantime, please maintain good visibility with your EoR when it comes to equity granted to EoR employees.

Setup

To integrate with Remote, you’ll need:

  • Admin access to your Easop account
  • An active Remote subscription
